Westmorland Neighborhood

We could go on and on about how wonderful Westmorland is. So, we will just give the highlights:

It is close to everything! A few minutes drive to: Grocery stores, Hilldale and Westgate mall, YMCA, Monroe street-which is filled with lots of mom and pop shops, restaurants and Trader Joes. What else? Two golf courses, the belt line, capitol square, UW and all hospitals in Madison. And of course the bike path (which will get you to anywhere in Madison almost quicker than driving) Sequoya library and Westmorland park. This neighborhood is filled with friendly, outgoing people. We receive a neighborhood newsletter quarterly. There are voluntary neighborhood dues which are a whopping $10-$25 annually. There are activities throughout the year at the park: January snow day, Garden tours, Forth of July Celebration, Halloween parade, Santa Claus visits-- just to name a few. The park also has two skating rinks to use free of charge in the winter and a great playground in the summer months. It is fantastic living in this neighborhood.

Forth of July Celebration. There is a parade starting out the celebration with it's own neighborhood band starting out the parade. Everyone dresses up their bikes, wagons, and themselves and follows along to the park where there is a carnival and activities. So much fun!
